Frequently Asked Questions

Short, direct answers about scope, timelines, pricing, payment, and what a Rooftop Report can — and cannot — tell you.

1) What does a report include?

A rooftop equipment inventory, roof map, asset IDs, nameplate data where visible, photos, observed exterior condition, risk/priority notes, and practical next steps. See the Sample Report for format.

2) What is not included?

We do not remove panels, perform trade diagnostics, take performance measurements, or provide engineering certification. Reports are visual, non-invasive asset documentation and planning tools.

3) Is this useful for capital planning?

Yes. Reports are designed to support budgeting, prioritization, and commercial HVAC capital planning, especially when owners need a clearer view of aging rooftop units.

4) What buildings do you work on?

Commercial plazas, offices, warehouses, industrial buildings, schools, municipal sites, multi-tenant properties, condos, and other buildings with rooftop mechanical equipment. See HVAC reports for property managers.

5) What areas do you serve?

Our core service area is Southwestern Ontario, including London, Windsor, Kitchener–Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, Stratford, Sarnia, and Chatham–Kent. Work outside this region may involve additional travel charges.

6) How much does it cost?

Pricing depends on building size, asset count, access, travel, and reporting depth. See Pricing for starting points.

7) What if we only need an equipment list?

That is a good fit. A commercial HVAC asset inventory can document what exists, where it is, and what information is visible without requiring a deeper condition assessment.

8) Can you help plan RTU replacements?

Yes. We can flag aging rooftop units, observed deterioration, missing information, and near-term concerns to support rooftop unit replacement planning. Vendor pricing and mechanical diagnostics are handled by the relevant contractors.

9) What are your payment terms?

Standard terms are 50% upfront and 50% within 30 days of report delivery. Terms may vary depending on project size and client requirements.

10) What payment methods do you accept?

We accept EFT, e-transfer, or company cheque. Credit card payments are not currently accepted.

11) How long does it take?

Most reports are delivered within 3–5 business days after the site visit. Large sites, multi-building portfolios, or custom reporting formats may take longer.

12) Should we update it annually?

Often, yes. Annual or periodic updates help track condition changes, replacement progress, and new rooftop equipment before records become stale.
